If you do, you need to come along and met the fun and friendly women who make up the dynamic chorus that is A Cappella West!
A Cappella West (ACW) is a female barbershop (4 part harmony/a cappella) chorus which was founded in 2008 by women, for women.
We are a diverse group of around 80 women from all walks of life brought together through our love of singing. As members of the international organisation Sweet Adelines, we receive outstanding education from coaches from around the world, as well as weekly rehearsals under our director, Jo Oosterhoff, a well known and highly respected barbershop coach, mentor, director and performer.
We regularly compete nationally and have twice had the opportunity to represent Australia on the international stage.
But it's not all about competing, and A Cappella West is very passionate about sharing our love of singing with the wider community, often providing energized and dynamic performances at festivals, marketing events, ceremonies and seasonal concerts.
We are passionate about the art form, teaching singing and the barbershop style, as well as supporting the community and nurturing our members. Our motto is to have fun and share our love of singing with our audiences.
