South of the River is a Melbourne based community choir celebrating diversity and harmony through a shared passion for singing. Under the direction of Annemarie Sharry, the choir explores the music and rhythms of Africa, traditional African American gospel and original Australian compositions. JOINING SOUTH OF THE RIVER CHOIR If you are interested in becoming a member of South of the River choir, you are welcome to come along any Tuesday (during school term) for a one off session and sing with the choir. This gives you a chance to see how the choir rehearses and whether you like the ‘vibe’ of the group and the repertoire we sing. Then, put your name on our Waiting List. I will let you know when we will be running auditions to fill new places, or having “open-house” singing events.
