Willoughby Symphony Choir and Orchestra present one of the 19th century’s most thrilling choral masterworks, Felix Mendelssohn’s Elijah. The oratorio was the composer’s final major success and depicts events in the life of the prophet Elijah as told in the Bible’s Old Testament, comprising a dramatic interplay between choir, orchestra and soloists.
The concert also includes fabulous soloists – Teddy Tahu Rhodes, Celeste Haworth, Sarah Toth and Joshua Oxley – all of whom are celebrated Australian performers.
